Hot Summer Nights with Movies That Cool You Down

There’s nothing better than a snowy movie on a hot summer night.  Set up outside on the patio or porch with an icy cocktail and someone to hold your hand as you get through a hot night with a cold movie.

SUMMER CLASSICS TO GET YOU THROUGH THE HEATWAVE:

PINK PANTHER:  The one with Peter Sellers and David Niven.  Comedy and mystery in the freezing snow of the Swiss Alps.

THE SHINING:  The Overlook is snowbound in a blizzard.  This will give you a chill against the July heat as Nicholson runs amok with an axe.

MISERY:  A writer trapped with his number one fan as the blizzard builds a fortress around the isolated cabin.  Nobody knows snowy winters like Stephen King.

FARGO:  Snow and blood.

JEREMIAH JOHNSON:  Robert Redford in a great Western classic, fighting the snow of the Colorado rockies.

SMILA’S SENSE OF SNOW:  Mystery, long winter nights, snow.  A forgotten classic.
