Teen Movies You Might Have Overlooked

The teen movie genre is a sure bet at the box office.  But as you study the films that define the genre, there might also be a few movies that you’ve overlooked.

ONE CRAZY SUMMER:  Odd little move that embraces its eccentricities.

SAY ANYTHING:  We should all have a Lloyd Dobler as a first love.

MEATBALLS:  A movie with real heart.

JUNIOR MISS:  This movie is sweet, adorable and of its time.

THE WORLD OF HENRY ORIENT:  I love a movie with stalker girls.

FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH:  This movie defined the teen archetypes.  It still works.

NIGHT OF THE COMET:  Valley girls against zombies.

BYE BYE BIRDIE:  All-American teens intersect with a teen idol.

BREAKING AWAY:  Small town teens go up against the privileged college kids in the ultimate bicycle race.

RISKY BUSINESS: Dark, brooding, funny.

HEATHERS:  Murder as a high school elective.
